What size units do you offer?
At Campton Self Storage, we have a variety of unit sizes to meet your needs. From small 5’x10’ units to large 10’x30’ spaces, our units can accommodate everything from personal items to entire households.
What’s the height of your storage units?
All of our storage units have an 8-foot ceiling height.

Can I change storage unit sizes if I need more or less space?
Yes, if you feel like a smaller or larger unit would better meet your needs, let us know! As long as space is available, we can help you get switched into a different unit. Please note that you are responsible for moving all your items into the new unit.
Do you offer climate-controlled units?
No, we do not offer climate-controlled storage units. If you have sensitive items like electronics, antiques, or artwork, you may want to consider a different storage facility.
What are your access hours?
We offer 24/7 access to your belongings. Our staff are available Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. or by appointment.
Is the facility secure?
Yes! Our facilities are equipped with digital video surveillance cameras and the grounds and units are well-lit.
Do you provide locks for renters?
Yes, we do supply disc locks for all renters. Once you’ve completed the rental process online, a staff member will place the lock, along with instructions on how to set the combination, in your storage unit.
Please note: If you purchase the Tenant Protection Plan for your belongings, the disc lock provided will satisfy the $200 deductible should something happen to your unit.
How long is the rental term?
All of our rentals are month-to-month, so you're never locked into a long-term contract. You can rent for as long (or as short) as you need.
What kind of documentation do I need to provide to rent a unit?
You’ll need to provide an address, valid driver’s license, social security number and employer’s name. If you’ll be storing a vehicle, vessel and/or trailer, additional information is required, including loan/lien information and proof of insurance.
How do I pay my bill?
We offer several convenient payment options:

Can I store my vehicle or camper?
Yes, we offer indoor vehicle storage options, including spaces for working cars, small campers, boats, and trailers. Contact us for size availability!
What can I store in a storage unit?
You may store personal belongings; vehicles, vessels, and/or trailers; sports and recreational equipment; seasonal tools and equipment. You may not store any food or perishable items, hazardous materials, or anything not listed on the lease agreement.
What items are prohibited from being stored?
If you're unsure about a specific item, ask our staff before storing.
Can I live or sleep in a storage unit?
No, you may not live in the storage unit. Additionally, animals and pets should not be kept or stored at the unit.
Can I run a business out of a storage unit?
No, a storage unit can not be used as a place to conduct business. However, it can be used to store items for your business. Additionally, you may not use the storage unit for any exhibit, display, rehearsal, or for any purpose which would bring an audience to the facility.
How do I move in?
Moving in is easy! Once you've chosen your unit, you can either complete the rental process online or visit us in person. We’ll provide a lock, and you can move your items in right away. Don't forget to ask about the Tenant Protection Plan program which starts at $12 per month and provides insurance for up to $2,000 worth of belongings.
How do I move out?
Moving out is simple! First, if you’re planning to move out, please notify the office within 15 days of departing the facility. This way, we can stop the billing process and make sure all details are in order. When you’ve emptied your storage unit, let the office know (in writing) that you’ve vacated the unit. Please set your lock combination back to all zeros and leave the lock in the unit.
Can I reserve a unit online?
Definitely! You can reserve a unit directly through our website. It’s fast and easy, and you can even choose your move-in date.
What if I need help or have questions during my rental?

Do I need to have insurance on the belongings in my unit?
Legally, you do not need to have insurance on the items stored in your storage unit. However, we suggest that you consider Tenant Protection Plan coverage in the event that something unforeseen happens. If you already have homeowner’s insurance or renter’s insurance, please check with those providers as they may include coverage for you.
